Blog Report for April 2022

Recently, I’ve been testing some of the strategies and tips presented by Adam Enfroy on his youtube channel. So, I thought it would be good to create a monthly update to keep myself accountable and have a running update on the success of these strategies month to month.

Since I have created an entirely new blog, this is a perfect opportunity to track my progress ‘from zero’.

So with that in mind, let’s get into it.

Expenses in April

Since I have only just started this blog, I have zero income and am only getting 4-5 visits per day, so at this stage, I still have a lot of work to do.

Initial setup costs include tools to make building this blog easier and so far include the following:

  • SurferSEO: $80
  • Jasper: $57
  • Ahrefs: $135

I already had web hosting and paid for the year, so I have not included that in this report.

Net Profit: -$272.00

Next, let’s check out some takeaways for the month, traffic results and plans for May.

Traffic for April 2022

I had a total of 46 new users for April. Only one of these users from organic search and the rest from direct and social channels.

I don’t think 46 users is terrible for a first blog, but I will be looking to scale this rapidly in the coming months.

Tasks Completed In April

Plans for May

  • Publish 5 new 1,500+ word blog posts
  • Publish 5 new guest posts
  • Add email opt-in to the website

That’s it for this month. The plan is to show my progress month to month, applying some of these tactics to see whether it really is possible to build a profitable blog in such a short time frame.
